Discover Clare



Ennis is a Medieval town with lots of lively bars and popular restaurants. It is just 20 minutes from Shannon International Airport which makes it a great stop over if you are getting off a late flight. Famous for Traditional Irish Music when strolling into any bar you are likely to bump into world famous musicians belting out a few tunes. Its small narrow streets make it an ideal location for strolling around, stopping for a beer or a bite to eat or if you wish drop into one of the large variety of Boutiques for which it has become renowned.

If you travel West, a 35 minute drive will take you to the Wild Atlantic Way where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the world famous Cliffs of Moher , venture across the Moonscape of the Burren or take a Ferry to the Aran Islands. You can also take the ferry and see the Cliffs from the sea, a view as spectacular as that from above. Bird lovers can count the many species that inhabit the cliff face and the Sea Stack.

If you decide to travel South, you can drive along the beautiful Shannon EstuaryTour on out to Loop Head, visit the Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking Region) of Carrigaholt or take the ferry across the Estuary to Co. Kerry.

If you decide to travel East, you will encounter Lough Derg, Holy Island and Mountshannon. Drive around the lake to take in the spectacular views or take a boat trip for a more hands on experience.

Bunratty Castle

Golfing in Clare



If Golf is your thing then the World Famous Links Course at Lahinch is a must visit. Links Golf is also available at the Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg and there are excellent Parkland courses scattered around the county all within easy driving distance of Ennis.
