Welcome to Knockaderry House

Built in 1853 Knockaderry House is a south facing limestone building with gardens and is set just 15 minutes walk from Ennis Town. An old dairy farm, Knockaderry has been lovingly restored and retains many of its original features, such as open heart fire, storm shutters and the original limestone and brick is strategically exposed throughout the house.

Knockaderry is a family run business and offers rooms for guests to enjoy in a quite cul de sac where the only noise that you are likely to hear is the Dawn Chorus from the birds that populate the gardens. Mary and Gerry pride themselves on giving the customer a very personal service and this can be evidenced from the many 10/10 reviews they receive from guests.

B &B Deluxe Accommodation

All rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and two of which have a walk-in wardrobe. The house is fully modernised but still retains its unique character. All the rooms offer free WiFi, complementary tea and coffee and there is a private bar where the guests can sit and relax before they venture into Ennis.

The Perfect Location

The Ancestral Irish Home of Muhammad Ali, Ennis is a Medieval town with lots of lively bars and popular restaurants.  Knockaderry House is only 20 minutes drive from Shannon International Airport which makes it a great stop over if you are getting off a late flight or catching that early morning flight.  Gerry the owner is happy to arrange your airport transfer.  Knockaderry House is 20 minutes walk to downtown Ennis which is the capital town of County Clare.  Ennis is famous for Traditional Irish Music and when strolling into any bar in town you are likely to bump into world famous musicians belting out a few tunes. Its small narrow streets make it an ideal location for strolling around, stopping for a beer or a bite to eat.  The ladies may wish to browse around the large variety of fashion Boutiques for which Ennis has become renowned.

"A peaceful haven. Gerry our host was wonderful, he could not have been more helpful.Breakfast was great, homemade scones, bread, porridge, cereals, nuts and seeds. Beautifully presented and great coffee. He had a lovely study/ reading room/ bar where I spent a quiet few hours there. It is in a lovely quiet cul de sac".

Roger from Ireland

"Exceptional. Quiet location yet close to all Ennis has to offer. With restaurants required to close at 8oc due to regulations, our host Gerry drove us to town, ensuring we had plenty if time to enjoy the hospitality in the Old Ground restaurant. Top class host".

"We thought our stay was lovely. Felt like home. Jerry was extremely helpful on directions/sites. I enjoyed the breakfast very much. It was delicious and filling. I did not need more to eat until evening. Jerry is a very good host. The location was good since we had a car. Close to Motorway, grocery store, or a 30 minute walk to city centre",
